It was not that Vipin didn't know what she was talking about. Things he did, though inadvertently, only out of frustration, immediately ran through his mind at the very first mention. Things, he didn't have control on. He couldn't say something, though he wanted to, and opened his arms. Neha also responded accordingly and they hugged each other, tight, still in their birth suits.
"Hope you don't feel offended, do you?" Neha detached a little and looked at Vipin, but his eyes were closed and he didn't reply anything. There were no expressions too, as if he didn't listen at all what Neha said.
"I'm not sure....." then he uttered with same close eyes, the moment Neha opened her mouth, perhaps to repeat what she just asked.
"I think I should have talked to you first" she was apprehensive as her voice was sort of whispering.
"Just what prompted you to accept her as someone just right for it?" He asked, quite irritably. "We are in the same circle; what if ......?" he stopped midway and stared at Neha now.
"Well...actually, there were no prompts or ... you know...." she found it difficult to explain. "...I just felt like.....only if you could believe.....it happened in a moment.....just happened" she slid her head down as if she was to admit commission of an offence. "You may call it even a weak moment..... you know?" she looked into his eyes, apprehensively. At the same time, she was thinking "Radha was right that it's going to have an impact on him, most probably in a negative way".
Radha's words were echoing in her mind "They are very sensitive and protective towards the issue; even a distant thought of a question mark being put on it maddens them. None of them ever agrees to accept that they may require any help on this account. It directly hurts their ego, and in the worst manner........Though, on their own, most of them try everything that could increase their 'stamina', even risking their general health aspects".
"O Lord, please let him understand...I didn't wanna hurt him" she was praying with her full being.
"That's okay.... you need not get into sort of confessional mode" he patted her on back and continued "What I am concerned about is whether they are the right couple...".
She took a deep breath and made a failed attempt to hide that great sense of relief on her face, "They are...!" she almost exclaimed, detached herself from him and pulled him to the chair beside.
"Wait....I just tell you" and she told him about all her conversations with Radha on the issue, at least most of them.
Vipin thought "Bansi...that's why he talked to me that way. He should have told me that he knew Neha through his wife". Then his eyes gleamed "He called her name...yes, he used the word Neha... only I missed on it...
"May I hope to be informed before your next adventure?" he asked, with a smile now.
"Off course... actually, what would I do with that...without you?" she heaved a sigh of relief and hugged him tight, whispering, "You are so nice...", more deep, long breathes.
